Join Jeff Emtman (host of KCRW's Here Be Monsters) for a hands-on exploration of the sound design process. Here Be Monsters, a podcast about fear and the unknown, is known for its use of richly atmospheric sound design.
During this three-hour workshop, Jeff will demonstrate the six dimensions of sound design (volume, proximity, clarity, frequency, stereo and time) and share valuable techniques and plug-ins while you experiment with real tape.
We recommend this workshop for intermediate producers interested in adding more sonic elements to their stories. Students should have produced an audio story and understand the basics of editing.
Students must bring a laptop and headphones. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need to borrow our equipment.
We're offering scholarships for this workshop. Learn more here.
