Workshops in English (y un Taller en Español!)

PRX is offering free podcast-related workshops that are open exclusively to residents of Brockton, Chelsea, Fall River, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, New Bedford, Springfield, and Worcester. Our primary focus is on BIPOC residents interested in the arts, media, and/or elevating the voices and stories of their community.

We are organizing these workshops as part of a research and outreach project, the Gateway Cities Audio Project, to support aspiring podcasters and storytellers across Massachusetts.

Podcast Listening Sessions (March 3 & 10)

Come join our podcast listening session facilitated by Mark Pagán, Film and Audio Producer and Host of othermenneedhelp.com. In this session, you will hear audio clips that highlight stories and perspectives that have been misrepresented or overlooked in dominant narratives about a place or a community, and then you will have the opportunity to discuss your thoughts and reactions with fellow participants. It’s a Book Club for your ears! You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for audio storytelling and practical approaches for creating your own podcast or audio project.
