Getting the Guest: Interviewing A-Z with Ken Gagne

Everyone has a dream guest, but how do you get them on your show? Approaching strangers at conventions or on Twitter can be scary, and preparing for the interview is hard work — but it doesn’t have to be.

In this workshop participants will learn the soft and hard skills of interviewing from social media strategist and host of Polygamer and Transporter Lock, Ken Gagne. Topics will include finding and researching potential guests and how to prepare for the big interview. You’ll learn how to connect with people on social media, how to research a guest, what questions to ask, and how to follow up after the interview.

Ken Gagne is the host of the Polygamer and Transporter Lock podcasts. He is a faculty member in Emerson College's publishing department, a freelance writer for Computerworld.com, and a project manager for WordPress.com.
