Creating a Digital Content Strategy with Ma'ayan Plaut and Kate Krosschell

You’re making audio, but what about all the stuff that surrounds the audio in podcasting? Having an effective digital presence both brings new audiences to your show and retains loyal listeners, but it’s not as simple as just tweeting once in a blue moon. This hands-on workshop for podcasters will cover how to structure your strategy on digital, including your website, targeting, social media, newsletters, earned media, and more -- and using the open-source podcast 70 Million as a case study.

Ma’ayan Plaut is RadioPublic’s Content Strategist & (the first ever) Podcast Librarian, where she leads podcast curation in the iOS, Android, and web apps, and supports podcast creators as they develop and market their shows. Before joining RadioPublic, Ma’ayan managed and developed award-winning social media and marketing projects for her alma mater, Oberlin College.

Kate Krosschell is a Marketing Manager specializing in radio and podcasting based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is currently working on 70 Million, a MacArthur-backed podcast from Lantigua Williams & Co. that tells solutions-journalism stories about local jail reform. The former Marketing and Communications Manager at the Association of Independents in Radio, she led the marketing and branding of the organization, and grew and promoted its network of independent radio producers on digital, social, and at conferences. Before that, she was a Data Analyst at Twitter. During the day, you can find her nerding out about consumer neuroscience at iMotions, where she is the Marketing Automation Specialist.

The cost of this workshop is $50 for non-members and $40 for members of the Podcast Garage or members of the Harvard Ed Portal (i.e. any Allston-Brighton resident). Sign up below!
