Filmmaker + Audio producer potluck

A special holiday potluck and community screening/listening event for film and audio artists in the Greater Boston area. We’ll be sharing food and reaching across our aural and optical divides in the spirit of fostering new creative conversations for 2017. Take a tour of the Podcast Garage, experience new film and audio works from local makers, and celebrate the intersections of image and sound creation in Boston.

RSVP on Facebook.

All are welcome and encouraged to bring something to eat. We’ll get together beginning at 6:30pm, and we’ll begin sharing local film/audio works at 7pm.

For this month's potluck:
Sign-up to share 5 minutes of your audio/film/video work with the group. All formats/styles/genres are welcome. Both finished works and works-in-progress are welcome. A screen, digital projector, and speakers are on hand at the space. If you’d like to share audio work, email Daniel Gross at daniel.alexander.gross@gmail.com. If you’d like to share film work, email Gen Carmel at gencarmel@gmail.com.

About the organizers:
-The Sonic Soiree is a potluck of the edible and audible, occurring monthly in living rooms throughout Greater Boston. We are a community of radio producers, sound artists and collaborators who come together to talk, eat, listen and then talk some more.

-The Boston Film Potluck is made up of Boston filmmakers, media artists, film collectives, and other film/video community members who get together for a monthly potluck to help make the wider Boston film community more visible to itself, and to think about what might be gained from more regular cross-cutting conversations among filmmakers in Boston.

-The PRX Podcast Garage is a community recording studio and educational hub dedicated to the craft of audio storytelling.

-LEF is a private family foundation that funds creative endeavors in California and the New England region. LEF values strong aesthetics, entrepreneurial thinking, and a spirit of adventure in all of the projects it supports.
