UNTOLD AFGHANISTAN: A SERIES FROM PRI'S THE WORLD

Seventeen years ago, the twin towers fell, a war was launched, and Afghanistan entered the US public consciousness.

Today Afghanistan is still a battleground, with the number of civilians killed reaching a record high in the first half of the year. Attacks by both Taliban and Islamic State fighters have become an almost daily occurrence. And yet, as we see in countless war zones around the globe, daily life continues.

Join us for a night with the producers behind the recent series from The World, which explores the lives of women in Kabul who endure war, intimidation and abuse, carving out their own destiny in the process. Hear audio clips, stories from their reporting in Kabul, and insights into the public's response to the series.

This event is free and open to the public. We will provide drinks and snacks from Ariana Restaurant, a family-owned Afghani restaurant in Brighton.
